Description

“Poppy” is a shy but sweet kitten looking for her perfect home. Poppy is a former feral, rescued from a feral cat colony around 3 months old. She’s been indoors for about a month now and is ready to move on to her forever home. Poppy’s ideal home is either a quiet, calm environment with a patient person who will help her come out of her shell, or a barn cat/outdoor cat environment with someone experienced at getting barn cats settled. Poppy is 4-5 months old, dewormed and flea treated. Currently not spayed but her weight and age are appropriate to be spayed as soon as her new home is ready. Poppy is VERY friendly with other cats and would love to live with another cat or cats. She tolerates dogs and is shy with them, but could learn to live with a quiet, calm dog. Poppy is very shy with people. She can be handled, but will shut down in an overstimulating environment. She could be a “one man cat” and have a human buddy or a couple she could come around to, or could be happy in a quiet barn environment keeping your mouse population down. She has learned to tolerate her foster parents and will play and roll around with them when they are still and quiet, but is still a very shy cat. Poppy is a good girl. She was rescued because she is very loved by the woman who feeds her mama, and everyone who interacts with her wants her to have a wonderful indoor home. She just needs a family who will be patient with her special needs, and she will blossom. Are you the perfect family for Poppy? If so, please text or email for more information, and tell us a bit about your home!
