Description
This past Saturday, my family and I were sitting outside on Vanderbilt avenue when my father suddenly went unconscious. In a panic, I called 911. The time between calling and the ambulance arriving was a blur. Once we got to the hospital and my father was stable, we were able to brighten the mood by talking about all the people on Vanderbilt who helped in any way they could - Not just the firefighters and EMT, but the couple next to us who kept shouting the closest address so that I could relay the info to 911 - or the gentleman who handed me his phone because he called a Park Slope Ambulance service that would hopefully arrive sooner - and all the people who stopped what they were doing to help remove barricades so that the ambulance could reach my father. We didn't get a chance to thank any of you, so I'm posting this here in case there's a chance you might see it. My father is doing better. I wanted to say thank you and that we are thinking of you and that it's comforting to know there are good people like you out there.
