Starts Monday, March 15th (Mondays from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for 6 weeks) Starts Monday, March 15th (Mondays from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for 6 weeks) Participants will learn basic fabrication techniques such as piercing, forming, soldering, hollow forms and surface finishing. There will be demonstrations on stone setting techniques for rings & pendants. Discussions will include applying the principles of design to jewelry making and how to improve craftsmanship. This class is open to beginners & intermediate metalsmiths.  Non-members: $195 for 6 weeks. Members: $156. Workshop fee does not include materials. Wire and cabochons available to purchase at first class. Open to adults only. Instructor bio: Tina Dinsmore has been designing beautiful jewelry since the mid-1990’s when she lived in Tucson, Arizona. Tina moved to Maine in 2000 where she set up a studio in the Arts District of downtown Portland.
