Roeder Cartage Co. is looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic. Mechanic performs drive train component work as well as suspension and steering systems repairs and maintenance on Class A vehicles. Performs basic tire work such as replacements, tire rotations, etc and checks torque specifications and replaces wheel end components such as bearings. This position requires knowledge of engine drive trains, suspension and steering systems, electrical and hydraulic systems as well as knowledge of air brake and valve systems to be able to perform high-level repair and maintenance on a variety of Class A vehicles, as well as tank trailer services. • Late model equipment: Mostly automatic Freightliners \ • 401K with 4% match • Seven paid holidays • All PPE provided at no cost to you • $25,000.00 life insurance • H.S.A. 80/20 insurance plan, we pay 88% of all premiums • P.P.O insurance available • Dental and vision insurance available • Paid Time Off Minimum qualifications: *High School Diploma or GED equivalent (vocational education strongly preferred) *Good Driving record (CDL preferred) *Minimum of 1 year of experience in a technician position demonstrating knowledge diesel powered equipment diagnosis and repair. *Pay is commensurate with experience
