Mid '30s guitarist looking to start instrumental post metal/post rock band. Sound I want: Ambient, loud/quiet dynamics, doomy, spacey, ideally drop b tuning. Influences: Isis, Neurosis, Pelican, Thou, Year of No Light etc. What I do not want: -A party animal. I like to drink too but I want to start a band not a social club. If you care more about guzzling Hamm's than making music, this isn't for you. -A "lets play a show right away" person. No. We're going to sit down, write songs, play them from beginning to end and then practice them over and over. None of this "slap together a few songs and try and get a gig right away" nonsense. I'm sorry if that all sounds harsh but I've had too many projects fizzle out because of said issues. Also if you have right wing views, keep walking. What I do want: -A space to practice would be nice as I do not have one. -Fully vaxxed. -Nice people who want to make good music.
