Union Line Garage, a family run business in Hopewell/ Pennington for over 16 years is hiring! There is an immediate opening for a Porter/Car Washer/ Building Maintenance Associate. Responsibilities would include the following but not limited to: Wash, clean, and dry the vehicle's exterior per Union Line standards. This will include cars of different sizes, as well as vans and small trucks. Vacuum and prepare vehicle’s interior for completion per Union Line standards. Check for any warning lights/ maintenance indicators and bring them to the attention of the front office: This would also include checking the clock to make sure the correct time is set. Inspect vehicle for any defects/body issues and report to the front office. Maintain a clean and orderly work area and report any unsafe or hazardous conditions to upper management. Take out the garbage from each shop stall, parts department, kitchen, and the front offices daily. Break down cardboard and place in the appropriate dumpster daily. Help maintain overall site appearance including general cleaning of interior and exteriors locations. This includes sweeping the floors, washing shop floor with the floor machine (training provided), vacuuming carpets, dusting, cleaning the bathroom, cleaning the shop sinks, replacing furnace filter, and other maintenance tasks. Snow removal from sidewalks. ———————- Prospective applicant should have the following traits: Must have valid driver’s license in good standing Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training and goal setting. Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance and punctuality. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned without being told. Be comfortable working outside throughout the year.
