Thomas Custom Builders, a family-owned design build firm specializing in custom residential construction in the Northern Virginia area, seeks a well-qualified working Foreman/Lead Carpenter for ongoing remodeling projects to include bathrooms, kitchens, additions and new construction. The right candidate should be an ambitious, motivated, dependable and hardworking individual who is looking to grow with the company. Requirements: • Minimum 5 years of hands on experience in remodeling and/or construction • Ability to gather and manage crews of 2-5 workers • Knowledge of all trades and ability to train people when necessary • Great supervisory skills to keep the right people • Proven ability to manage project operations, timeframes and profitability • Ability to lift and move 75 pounds and meet the physical requirements of a remodeling project • Oral and written communication skills • Good mathematical skill and reasoning abilities • Ability to follow instructions and company policies and procedures • Valid driver’s license, personal transportation and tools • Ability to pass a background check Compensation commensurate with experience.
