Jamaica Cottage Shop, Inc. is a premier builder of fine post and beam buildings like tool sheds, cottages, tiny homes, garages, barns, storage sheds, livestock shelters, & woodsheds. In need of a couple go-getters willing and able to work with little supervision in our Timber Frame Department. General concept of basic math, good written/verbal communication skills, and be able to meet the physical demands and fast pace while adhering to all safety protocols. Reliable transportation required. Must be able to safely lift 75 lbs without issue or concern. Working with 8x8 rough sawn hemlock lumber, Timber Framers will precisely layout and notch beams for our larger designs. Must have a minimum 3 years timber framing experience or equivalent framing carpentry experience with interest in learning timber framing. Work independently with little to no supervision. Responsibilities include meeting all deadlines and bringing jobs to completion within set quality control guidelines. Flexibility to work in support and/or assembly departments of production, as needed between projects.
