I rescued a Vanity over a week ago, her previous owner had pretty much thrown her out claiming she was not using her litter box. He did not want her any longer. So I brought her back from Minneapolis with me hoping to find her a home or rescue to take her in and find her loving home. Since bringing her back with me I have discovered that she does in fact use her litter box (every single time) she does not like other animals, prefers hard food to soft. She is an absolute sweetheart who just wants to be loved and in a safe home. She will need to be the only pet and would do best in a home with no kids. She is spayed but not updated on shots. She does have her claws but has not used them on my furniture. She enjoys being brushed and will let you know when she has had enough. Same with being petted she let's you know when she has had enough. She seems to be very timid and will run and try to hide when you walk into the room, when you get up from sitting she will slink away...hopefully this will change after she feels completely comfortable and safe in her new home. I chose to bring her back with me as the shelter there I don't believe is a no kill shelter. We did try to rehome her or find a rescue there for her but everyone is full to capacity. I just didn't have it in my heart to leave her out as a stray. She is a very small girl 8/9 yrs old. I have already come to love her in such a short period time but I am unable to keep her as I already have a pet I don't see her adjusting to. Please someone give her a chance and let her live her best life. She a black cat with some white on her tummy. Oh yeah she loves fleece blankets. She will suckle/lick and make biscuits on when she is enjoying being petted. Rehoming fee to ensure she goes to a loving home and not used as bate.
