Description
Looking to rehome two bonded black cats, preferably to a semi-outdoor space like a barn/farm. I got these two from a shelter where they were very timid of humans, but was told they would feel more comfortable in a good home. After about 3 months of feeding them, attempting to interact with them, playing with them, etc. they still would not let me touch them and generally avoided me. They did, however, become more comfortable coming out from hiding places while I was home, coming up to me to see what I was doing, and liked to play with toys that offered a distance (like wands) with me.
My sister has also been watching them for a few weeks, and she has been able to pet them and play with them. They seem receptive to eventually opening up to a human. Unfortunately, I do not have the time due to work to spend with them to socialize them and my sister is unable to take them. Hoping for someone with enough time to work with the two and/or would like some working barn cats.
I named the boy Shadow and the girl Storm. Both are estimated to be about 10 months old. They are spayed/neutered and received vaccinations, but will need an updated rabies shot and flea/tick prevention. I can provide their medical paperwork. Asking for a small rehoming fee. In addition, I will provide a majority of the items bought for them, including: the litter box, one large water bowl, a smaller water dish, two food bowls, a food mat, a cat bed, miscellaneous toys, a small tower/scratch post, two blankets, and two carriers.
