Firstly, let me say I am pleased you are back. I miss the good discourse. Flagging is flagging. You say you don't engage. I certainly don't. So, we'll leave it at that. • If aliens landed here with technology so superior they were indefensible, and if they started taking citizens by force, there are some humans as a survival strategy that would help them gather others to save them and their families. It even happened in the hellish Auschwitz concentration camps. • Another loathsome myth perpetuated on this board is that blacks owned slaves in America. Well, yes and no. A pittance of slaves were able to save enough money to buy themselves freedom. If they stayed in the south, they would be kidnapped and returned to slavery under a new owner. So, they escaped to the north, where it was a capital crime to steal or kidnap a freed slave (Freeman) or someone else's slave. When Freemen got up north, they worked very hard, saved money and bought their wives and children (who by law because of age and gender could not be Freemen.) They registered them as their slaves so bands of southern yahoos who wandered around like vermin after dark, looking for blacks to kidnap and sell as slaves down south knew if they kidnapped a slave, they would be hanged. • Centuries later we still treat them like shit. We don't want to live next to them, don't want to attend schools with them or work with them. Hell, we don't even want to worship with them. But, yessiree Bob, they sure nuff have a better life here in America Pappy!!
