The Hyatt Place Hurst is searching for a maintenance technician. You do not need hotel experience, but you must be well versed in troubleshooting equipment. Required ability to lift 40-50 pounds. Must be able to work with electrical items such as PTAC units (hotel in room HVAC system) and comfortable changing locks and general plumbing. The positions requires flexibility in managing your day to day activity. Ability to work on your own with directions coming from various outlets. Keep all equipment in good repair with a minimum of downtime by providing day-to-day maintenance of the hotel. And to Complete maintenance work orders from all departments on a timely basis by following hotels standard operating procedures. Guests and guest rooms are our top priority. Ability to do a thorough inspection of a guest room to anticipate possible problems. Maintenance is required to get into every hotel room four times a year. Occasional problems that need troubleshooting: Guest room doors-reprogram, Pipe leaks- fix to ensure no water intrusion Change filters PM ice machines, locks, kitchen equipment, Why people enjoy this work: no two days are the same., home in the evening with family and steady pay. Continually work towards and support the improvement of overall hotel. Take pride and ownership.
