Description
"If the second Amendment, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. To force gun control will be unconstitutional."
So our resident pseudo lawyer and constitutional scholar, a legend in his own mind, has spoken.
Firstly, why not study and learn the document? Citizens are NEVER given rights of gun ownership in the United States Constitution.
Your emitting the words "well armed militia" is striking.
When the document was written, we were an occupied land. We were taxed to the teeth by King George, all the money going to his pleasure. We had no armed forces, no national guard, no county, city or state police, no national law enforcement agencies. NOTHING. We were a band of dirt poor, starving farmers with a handful of shotguns. King George had blockaded the entire east coast to prevent us from purchasing weapons abroad.
Now that we have all the above mentioned law enforcement agencies, we no longer have need of a well-armed militia.
If you are scared, move. I might suggest your irrational fears will move with you, however, saving you the expense. I say irrational because your fear ignores the fact that most of the good souls like myself have lived well into our eighth decade, never owning a firearm, and have lived safe, happy, fulfilled lives.
