ABOUT TYPOE Typoe (b. 1983) is a Miami-based mixed media artist whose works range from paintings and murals to larger-than-life sculptural works that can be found in the public realm. His work has been exhibited at Crystal Bridges Museum, Bentonville, Arkansas, Locust Projects, Miami, FL, Public Art of UH System, Houston, TX, Artis-Naples, Naples, FL, and Faena Art Center, Buenos Aires, Argentina. ABOUT BASEL BUDDIES Basel Buddies is a charitable organization that aims to blend the lines between art and philanthropy. Inspired by Miami’s thriving art scene, sisters-in-law Manoela and Tori Burstyn set out to raise funds to encourage and empower underprivileged youth through art. They partner with local and world-renowned artists to give children from their community the opportunity to create one-of-a-kind masterpieces. The youth in their community will benefit through the program by developing skills leading to confidence, creativity and success. The power of art goes far beyond someone’s talent. Research shows that when troubled children and teens acquire creative outlets, they are simultaneously receiving the opportunity to explore their emotions, develop self-awareness, learn how to cope with stress, boost their self-esteem, and expand their social skills. DISCLAIMERS All ticket sales are final. Parents must be in attendance to supervise their children. Basel Buddies, the Design District and Typoe are not responsible for each individual child. Basel Buddies, the Design District and Typoe are not responsible for any injury, lost or damaged goods.
