Have you always wanted to learn a little bit more about Scotch Whisky? Or are you a Scotch Aficionado? Then this tasting is for you. Join us in The Speakeasy for an evening of Scotch Whisky. Tasting will include: Glenmorangie Signet Scotch - "Inspired by the simple pleasure found in a cup of coffee, with sizzling spices and bursts of bitter mocha mellowed by smooth butterscotch." Glenmorangie Signet, is the culmination of a lifetime’s experience, a fusion of unique and rare elements. A blend of our oldest whisky - distilled over thirty years ago when malting still occurred on site - and spirit matured in a selection of the world’s finest casks. A strong Aruba expresso fused with a treacly plum pudding, rich with sherry, and candied orange peel. A contrast of rich sweetness with an explosive crackle of sizzling spices and bitter mocha. A fresh spring-like breeze of mint with a bright citrus lemony-green quality. The New Seasonal Ardbeg Scotch -(yet to be released) - Ardbeg has been called, "as close to perfection,” by whisky connoisseurs." Ardbeg was officially established by the MacDougall family in 1815, the same year as Laphroaig came into official existence a few miles along the road. Ardbeg is heavily peated, with a turfy smoke and seaspray character predominant in most bottlings. The distillery fell foul of the global whisky downturn in the late 1970s, which, coupled with some criminal mismanagement... After an initial release of aged stocks bottled as a 17 year-old in newly-designed packaging proved an instant runaway success & the rest is history. Glenlivet Enigma Scotch - "A sophisticated Single Malt Scotch Whiskey matured in a mixture of America Oak barrels and finished in ex-Canadian first fill Rye barrels" Finish - Long, fruity and refreshing finish.Nose - Baked red apple, creamy toffee, and cinnamon, combined with delicate floral aromas and a touch of violet on the nose.Palate - Fruity aromas of pears and juicy pineapple, followed by spicy flavors of sweet ginger, licorice root and subtle fresh mint leaves on the palate. Bonus Scotch Mystery Bottle - (pick to be decided) - Could be Dimple Pinch, or maybe Singleton..... Tickets are $50 per person and space is limited to 14 participants for an evening of all things Scotch. Cheers!
