help to photograph tiny detail on a coin

nothing essential but i've got a coin that's in a scratched up plastic capsule - there's a detail on a small coin i can't quite view with my magnifying glass or camera or a combination of the two even though they give very good magnification, and i've tried different lighting and angles. the details is a tiny bit of grease either on top of the coin or actually embedded in the coin and thus an error, i can't tell which. in fact, i think the reason this was given to me was that it is a problem coin that someone didn't know what else to do with (the tiny portion of the coin is where the designer initials are - very tiny!)! i've seen great photos of coins elsewhere but don't have that ability - perhaps someone can offer for me to come by to get it photographed? i'm not looking to pay for this but glad to bring over a couple of beers. at the risk of beggars being choosers, i'd prefer lower east side or midtown east. thanks!
