Description
Hold Me Tight is an amazing experience for your and your partner to re-connect. We can all get into patterns of conflict, wounds build and the negative cycle then repeats. Through this experience, you and your partner will have help identifying the cycle you are in and then re-connect in a way that brings healing and emotional connection to your relationship. Helpers are available throughout this experience to guide you through the conversations. What's Included: Dinner for 2 Friday night, Wine, Flowers for your loved one, and breakfast and lunch on Saturday. That is on top of an amazing program and therapist helpers to guide you through the process. What to expect: First: safety and confidentiality. Someone says “marriage retreat” and every ugly fight and embarrassing moment comes to mind and I think “uh uh…not sharing that with anyone.” Well the good news is that you won't. You and your partner discuss things on your own, and nothing is shared in a group format. Promise. Format: Following every presentation, you and your partner will move to a private room to talk. As you work through the Hold Me Tight conversations, helpers will be available to assist if you get stuck or have questions. Schedule: Friday: 630 pm to 9 pm Saturday: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Friday night: We know you are busy wrapping up work, so show up any time between 530 pm and 630 pm for a Romantic Candlelit dinner of Italian fare. Want some wine to wind down? No worries, we’ve got you covered. A bottle for 2 of red or white. 630 pm to 8:30 pm: Presentation, Followed by 1:1 time with your partner. 8 am Saturday: light breakfast fare 8 am, 830 am conference starts. 12 to 1pm: Catered lunch: Chic-Fila! Enjoy lunch, no cooking or extra cost: we bring it to you. 5 pm: Conference Ends, plenty of time for a date night if you choose. What this is not: This is not couples counseling or to replace professional help. If you have concerns about safety in your marriage, either physical or emotional, or concerns of substance abuse, severe mental illness, or any form of domestic violence then I would encourage you to seek professional help and this retreat is not for you. About the Presenter: Elizabeth Miranda, LCMFT, RPT-S has been a Marriage and Family Therapist in the Greater Kansas City Area since 2005. A mom of 2, she and her husband have been through this retreat themselves (with her husband happy to share he "kept his man card" and benefited from the experience). Elizabeth is passionate about helping couples experience the healing, connection, and emotional intimacy that we all desire.
