Pelagic birding in late September provides a great opportunity for birders to experience a whole new avenue of birding. By cruising the open ocean, the likelihood of spotting multiple species of seabirds drastically increases your odds. Cruising the open ocean with a bird guide such as Dan Berard, takes the experience to a whole new level. Dan provides decades of experience leading bird walks, trips, and pelagics. His vast knowledge of birds helps increase the likelihood of spotting something rare or unusual. Therefore, help increase your life list and enjoy a day out on the water while joining the Ocean State Bird Club out of Galliee.
The pelagic trip out of Galilee will be on board one of the four boats that make up the Frances Fleet. The boat will leave the dock at 7am on September 30 and will return no later than 4PM that afternoon. Capacity is limited to 50 birders. The is cost is $100 per person for OSBC members and $120 per person plus processing and handling fees for non-members. Becoming a member of the Ocean State Bird Club is easy. PLEASE NOTE: FRANCES FLEET DETERMINES WHETHER OR NOT CONDITIONS ARE SAFE ENOUGH TO DEPART ON THE DAY OF THE TRIP. THEREFORE, IF NEEDED, THE OSBC WILL EITHER RESCHEDULE THE TRIP AND/OR REFUND YOUR MONEY IF THERE IS A CANCELLATION. ON ACCOUNT OF A CANCELLATION, EVENTBRITE FEES ARE NONREFUNDABLE FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS. THEREFORE, THE OSBC WILL DO ITS BEST TO RESCHEDULE THE TRIP IF NEEDED.
