Put a bow on the weekend by joining us on our Sunday Funday Buy-A-Seat Rides! These rides are the best way to make new friends and try new places as we go on a pub crawl throughout Downtown Detroit. Typically during these two hours, we are able to make at least two stops (15-20 minutes each) in bars around the city. Grab a beer, cocktail, or shot before we head over to the next one. You are also welcome to bring your own food and drink onto the bike. We'll listen to music and take in the sights in between each bar stop! Prior to the ride: We meet at McShane's Irish Pub 20-30 minutes before the time listed time above. In this time, you'll meet the driver, sign a liability waiver (electronically), and get situated on the bike. Five minutes before take off, the driver will go over a couple rules and then the ride will be on its way. Bike will leave promptly at 3pm. During the ride: We'll stop at some bars and picture spots around Downtown/Corktown, all the while making sure we have plenty of time to roll around on the pedal bar! Listen to music, laugh, take pictures, and have a great time on Detroit's Party Bike. With electric assist, our guests never pedal too hard -- just enough to burn off those beer calories! FAQs Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? Since we will be making stops at bars, riders must be 21 years or older with photo ID to participate. What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? We use the parking lot at Eaton Springs (located kitty corner from McShane’s and accessible from Michigan Ave and Church St.). Parking here is $10 but you receive a $10 gift card for food/drink at McShane's. You can park there or on any street parking (non-residential) in the area. What can I bring into the event? There are no refunds once a ticket is purchased. If there is a weather emergency or The Michigan Pedaler deems that the streets are unsafe for our bike, we will cancel the evening's ride and refund ticket purchasers' money. A basic expectation is we run in the rain. If there's severe weather such as a bad storm or tornado, the ride would be cancelled. Each ride must have a minimum of six riders total for it to take place. Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? Yes, we must see your ticket for you to get on the bike. Tickets can be printed or shown electronically. Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends? Yes, that is ok.
