This class is for 2nd grade to 7th grade (not a high school credit course). We will learn basic words and communication This class makes learning to sign easy and fun. We will be learning a song in each semester as well. We will be using various (updated) ASL websites that I have researched. We will learn this year ASL to: Alphabet, Counting 1-30, Colors, Family, pronouns (indexing), Pet Signs, Foods, Emotions, Money and Time, Places, Winter words, Basic, Conversation, Yes and No Questions, Questions, and sentences This class is for 2nd grade (able to do basic reading) to 12th grade (can count as a high school credit course depending on how much work is done at home). We will learn basic words and communication in ASL. We will also be learning songs in each semester to perform for a deaf nursing home. If we are unable to visit, we will do a video for them to watch. This class will include ASL to Christian music and course includes Christian content. Required Texts, Materials, or Equipment:Facebook private group will have the links to youtube videos that will be helpful. We will also use facebook messenger group chat.Daily Work/Homework: Practice throughout the week is highly encouraged. It is NOT a drop-off class. A responsible adult must remain on the premises at all times. Parent/sibling hangout will be located in the cafe.  Curriculum is not inherently Christian but a Christian viewpoint may be expressed from time to time. The cost of this class is for 2nd Semester only, dates included: 2nd Semester February 16th, 23rd March 2nd, 9th, 16th, 30th April 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th May 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th Instructor: Jenny Dennis Brief Bio: Jenny has taught ASL to many homeschool students in Licking County. She as instructed at several area coops and enjoys using ASL to lead her students to a greater appreciation and understanding of hearing disabilities. Her passion comes from her experience in her own hearing loss and the hearing loss of several members of her family.  Her day job is homeschooling her own children, piano tutoring and helping her husband in pastoring their local church.
