Join us for a fun and interactive music class for our littlest learners! Designed with the special learning needs of young children in mind, Preschool Music and Story Hour will take children on a fun-filled journey through quality children's literature and age appropriate music skills. Each week students with be treated to a read-aloud story followed by music activities based on the book. Using games, creative movement, and songs, children will learn how to match vocal pitch, the basics of rhythm, how to keep a steady beat, and how to vary volume and tempo in music. Christian values will be expressed in this class and may be reflected in musical selections. Class Fee includes supplies. Instructor: Olivia Longacre (student teacher) Instructor bio: A dedicated student of music, Olivia is eager to share her love for the art. She has spent 7 years learning the guitar with a study focus on worship, composition, and group development. Her musical endeavors also include piano, voice training, and music theory. Olivia plays and sings regularly with the Spring Hills Baptist Church worship bands and assists in helping teach young singers and musicians in their kid's choir program. It is NOT a drop-off class. A parent/sibling hangout will be located in the cafe.
