Creative Arts Classes for Children/ Teens 7 to 17

NEW Classes beginning for children 7 - 12 and 13 - 17 year olds. CREATIVE ARTS: The Art of Writing Haiku Poem + Illustrating During these classes children and teens learn the art of writing a Haiku Poem and how to illustrate their work. A special type of 3D art is taught and the participants can use it as they wish. In addition, each child is invited to further express their poem through the arts... singing, dance, drama or playing an instrument. (No previous experience is needed in any of these arts.) Since most Haiku poetry is written about moments in nature, these classes will focus on the season of SUMMER. For now classes are online and parents are invited to observe all classes. She has also directed day-camps, both in home and at a private school. She loves to encourage creativity in children and teens...and introduces them to illustrate their work, in the way that is most natural to them. She has taught piano privately for decades and brings into these classes, creative playing of the piano, where note reading is not needed. She enjoys nurturing the individuality of each young person and supports them in discovering their unique talents and gifts. She's also facilitated "Artist's Way" classes since 2005.
