Press release from the City of Huntsville: August 26, 2022 The Huntsville City Council canvassed and certified the results of the Aug. 23, municipal election and declared the following candidates elected for a term to begin Nov. 7: In a separate action, having opened and counted provisional ballots with City Clerk-Treasurer Ken Benion, the Council declared a run-off election for District 2 City Council and District 3 Board of Education. Voters will choose between District 2 City Council candidates David Little and Bill Yell and District 3 Board of Education candidates Andrea Alvarez and Angela McClure on Sept. 20.
