12 year old female blue/gold macaw I bought this beautiful girl a couple weeks ago to get her out of a terrible terrible situation. She was living in filth, kept in a dark room, had been neglected for years and not cared for properly. I have taken her to our avian vet and she has been taking a round of antibiotics for an upper respiratory infection that she had from living in the filth she was in. I also had blood work completed on her. The vet had no other concerns. She is now eating healthy foods and appropriate sized foods for a parrot her size. She is in absolutely perfect feather. Loves showers and loves being around people. She has been doing absolutely wonderful since we bought and saved her. This girl has a big vocabulary. We have not used a cage for her since she has been with us. She loves looking out windows, sitting in the sunshine with you, talking to you and can most definitely make you laugh.
