Description

Reservations for Sunday 7:30am Mass at St. Margaret Church. Reservations open each week on Monday at 10:00am and close on Friday at 11:00am. If you are unable to reserve a spot, there will be a "stand-by" line at each Mass. As space permits individuals in the "stand-by" line will be seated on a first-come, first-served basis. We thank you for exercising compassion, patience and understanding in these unusual times.Mass Arrival ProceduresMasks (for ages 5+) should be worn as soon as you exit your vehicle. Masks MUST remain over your nose and mouth during the entire time you are physically inside the Church. This is of the utmost importance and is for your safety, as well as the safety of those around you. Your reservation will be held until 5 minutes before Mass begins - then seats will be given to people in the "standy-by" line. The main doors of the church will open 20 minutes prior to the start of Mass. Our parish staff and ushers will seat your household similar to boarding an airplane. The church will be seated to fill the open pews from front to back. Parties will be asked to move into the middle of the pew to fill the church to capacity. Pews will be closed and marked by directional tape on the floor. You may be sharing a pew with another household, but social distance is required between the households (6ft). The holy water fonts remain empty. Communion ProceduresMasses will be conducted as you have seen on the Live Stream with reduced volunteer lay ministers. There will be no altar servers or choirs. Communion will be distributed at the sides of the altar with everyone maintaining a 6-foot distance from the moment you leave your pew to when you return. Your mask is moved aside momentarily as you receive Communion and then immediately replaced before heading back to your pew. Parish staff and trained volunteers will serve as ushers. Please keep your face mask on for the duration of Mass. There is to be no physical contact between households at the Sign of Peace or hand-holding during the Lord’s Prayer. Baskets will not be passed during the Offertory. You will be able to place your weekly gift in the white baskets at the altar as you process at Communion. Cardinal O'Malley has mandated that Communion not be offered on the tongue for the time being. The precious blood will not be offered to the congregation. The use of personal hand sanitizer before communion is strongly encouraged. Mass Departure ProceduresAfter the final blessing, parishioners must remain in their pew until dismissed by an usher. Pews will be dismissed in an orderly fashion starting at the back of the church and then moving to the front. You must exit your pew when prompted. Private prayer is not available after Sunday Masses to allow the church to be reset for the next Mass. Please do not congregate outside but head directly to your vehicle to allow the next Mass to start on time. Church Cleaning ProceduresWe will continue to implement cleanliness and sanitization practices, including cleaning pews in between every Mass. Disinfecting bathrooms, door handles, and other frequently touched surfaces occur after the conclusion of each Mass while the church is empty. Parish staff will be required to wear face masks, wash hands, and will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms. You are reminded to follow CDC recommendations regarding your own health. If you fall into an “at risk” category, please stay home and join us by Live Stream.
