Retreat for Families Impacted by Substance Use or Severe Mental Illness

Description

This conference offers families with a loved one with a substance use disorder or severe mental illness a safe place to learn tools to help them cope. It is meant to validate the importance of supporting families and community members in this space. Some family members suffer from anxiety, depression, PTSD. Validation and recognition increase resiliency of family and community members working to support loved ones. Tools such as mindfulness practice, acupuncture, education and self care will be discussed.
