Description
I recently moved to the Raleigh area and left behind a sizeable crabapple tree in the front yard of my previous home. Every fall, I picked the crabapples for a cooking project. I am seeking a homeowner/landowner in the area who may have a similair tree that I may harvest sometime in September or possibly October depending on the fruit maturity. I am willing to negotiate a reasonable fee for 2-3 hours access and removal of all picked crabapples. The tree I previously had was a Dolgo species crabapple tree, which grows grape-sized to golfball-sized fruit each fall. I can probably confirm if you have the right type by a photo of your tree's fruit and color of the flowers if it's bloomed recently. I know this is a very specific deal, but I am hopeful that amongst the million plus residents in the "triangle" area maybe one person will have such a tree or know a friend who does. I am anxious to get in contact with an individual before his or her tree ripens and the birds start picking the spoils. I am more than happy to travel a fair distance beyond my area too if that's where a tree is available. I thank you in advance for your help and partnership that might allow me to continue a yearly tradition of mine in a new state and home.
