A Chew Story - A New Musical will be donated to a local animal rescue!--- THE GREAT HOMECOMING (A Musical Pet Adoption Event) will be held at the Montalbán Theatre in Hollywood September 10-11, 2022. Not only will this be an opportunity for nearly two-thousand members of our local communities to get involved in finding forever homes for needy animals, we are looking to recruit pet adopters and volunteers, as well as alleviate the heavy burden placed on our overcrowded LA Animals Shelters. Stepping out of the box of our everyday adoption events, we are providing entertainment in the form of theater — a concert staged reading of a new musical entitled, Pup! A Chew Story, that speaks to the power of friendship between a homeless puppy and his chew toy as they search for their own forever home. Every pet deserves a forever home, and your generous contribution will put them in front of so many potential owners and volunteers. Not to mention, you will be saving two birds with one stone (the stone you used to break the lock on their cages lol): Theater is an invaluable medium that brings the dreams of society (including our pets) to life. Sadly, the COVID-19 pandemic took these dreams away for nearly two years. Not only did our audiences suffer this loss, the progenitors of creative, original works of art made to inspire people to help the most vulnerable among us—our animals—were left struggling. Together, we can support the livelihood of our pets by supporting the arts as well.
