Join the OI and Egyptologist Emily Teeter as we celebrate the centennial of the re-discovery of Tut’s tomb with a documentary screening and a Q&A! 100 years ago, Howard Carter discovered a tomb that would change the world. Crammed into a small and forgotten space were over 5000 beautifully preserved artifacts from golden statues, inlayed beds and thrones, and even games for the young king to use in the afterlife. Starting at 3:30 (CST), OI Egyptologist, Emily Teeter, will give a tour of our Tut-related artifacts from his 17 foot tall statue to small bowls used at his funeral. At 4, we will host a screening of a Tut documentary followed by a Q&A session.
