Almost 2 weeks ago someone abandoned 3 puppies & the DaddyDog in Pendleton King Park. They were all very thin & very scared.
A few pups weren’t too difficult to catch but DaddyDog and his 3rd Puppy were not giving up so easily. It took 2 days to finally capture them. I’m currently caring for both until they find new homes.
DaddyDog is a beautiful Red Pitt mix who looks to be only 1-2 years old himself. He hasn’t been neutered & was probably never taken to a vet, but he’s very strong, healthy healthy& learning to trust people more everyday.
DaddyDog is very special - don’t get me wrong, PuppyDog is adorable too, but I could tell you weeks of stories about how cool, funny & devoted DaddyDog has been. Stories like; how he kept his 3 homeless pups safe for days in the park. Stories of is soft howl calling out in search for them after the pups were gone. I could tell you how terrified he was of people, but how he never been aggressive to anyone, even when he watched them taking his pups.
There are so many squeaky-toy stories with DaddyDog & they all make me laugh. DaddyDog would rather I play with him or scratch his back than to eat these days. He runs from my 7 lb alpha dog and leaps over benches when playing. He even kisses the hands of the children who live next door. DaddyDog is truly special & deserves the best life has to offer.
There is no re-homing fee but I’d like to ask questions to make sure he has kind people, who won’t let him down and can give him all the love and attention he deserves. DaddyDog will also come with food and several squeaky toys (he loves his toys!).
Daddy’s a gentle, happy, beautiful boy who just wants to be loved.
