Always wanted to learn a thing or two about the intricacies of Japanese whisky? Well, now is your chance! Join whisky connoisseur John Martin on Saturday, September 10, from 4pm to 6pm, for a fun and educational whisky tasting experience with gourmet light bites, including Wagyu Beef Nigiri.
John will cover the process of aging, finishing, and the basics of "nosing" and tasting whisky. You’ll also understand the difference between “whiskey” and “whisky” and learn about the history of one of the original Japanese Whisky distillers.
Each attendee will receive a Toshi Old Fashioned welcome cocktail, three pours of whisky, and a light bite prepared by chef Joe Cajipe to accompany each pour. Tickets are $50 plus a $10 gratuity. Secure your spot in class with a $10 deposit on Eventbrite. The remainder of the ticket price will be charged at the event, and the price will increase to $75 for any day-of in-person ticket sales. Attendees will also receive a $10 gift certificate to Sake Haus to use on a future date.
Seating is limited, and attendees will be seated together.
Sake Haus is located at 214 E. Roosevelt St. and can be reached at (602) 218-6734. The restaurant is cashless, so please plan accordingly.
