Description

Join Knot Ur Mother’s Macrame at Vine Barn on Friday, October 7th from 5:30pm-9pm to learn how to make macrame plant hangers! You will be using 100% recycled cotton cord to create a sustainable piece of art! This will be the first workshop in a 2 part series, keep an eye out for the second event! The ticket price includes the use of supplies, assistance from the artist, a plant, and your handmade macrame to take home. This is a beginner class, no experience is required! This workshop is for participants of all ages and all abilities, though any minor must be accompanied by an adult. Use parental discretion when bringing children under the age of 10, as we only have two instructors and a limited amount of time to teach all students. About us; Amber & Meghan are the owners and artists behind Knot Ur Mother’s Macrame. Both artists are social workers and have worked with youth in the community for the last 10 years. Art became an outlet that not only helped their clients but them as well. Their passion for art, teaching, and the earth all came together over the last couple of years. Sustainability has been a core value for them and want to show people that art can be beautiful without harming the environment. All the cord used is made from 100% recycled t-shirts. As artists, we want to pass on our art, teach others how to express themselves, and find the joy that we have in macra-making :)
