The fall equinox, or Mabon, is September 22 this year and marks the start of fall. On this day the night and day are equal in length. This has traditionally been a harvest festival time and is associated with varying gods and goddesses depending on the culture. The druids used to gather at sunrise on this day to watch the sun rise over the sacred stones. At it's core Mabon is all about gratitude to the Earth for the food she provides to us before the hardships of winter arrive. We also prepare physically and mentally for the adjustment to longer, darker nights and shorter days ahead. Join Shaleesa Bynum as she balances the light with her quartz crystal sound bowls and the darkness with grounding melodies of the Native American flute. Emily Willis will provide the Mabon essence to each woman to help her connect to mother Earth and give thankfulness during this sound healing event. Shaleesa is a certified Sound Healer and Earth Energy Guide. Emily Willis is a certified Flower Essence Practitioner and Women's Healthcare Nurse Practitioner who enjoy collaborating together to bring music and healing to all women.
