Kobe is said to be 4.7 yrs. old, 63 lbs. He has been observed by staff licking the walls of his kennel and barking for attention. If he was walked/taken out of his kennel more than once every 7 days, it’s likely he would not display these behaviors of kennel deterioration as much. This is his third stay at MCACC. His previous adopter surrendered him to the kill shelter because his landlord would not allow him to have Kobe 😡. His previous owner said that Kobe is HOUSE TRAINED, likes to run and play fetch, LOVES BELLY RUBS AND CUDDLING. In 2021 he was so fearful of walking on the leash that he was carried each time he was taken out of his kennel. Fast forward to 2022: Kobe loves to go for walks. Doesn’t pull much on the leash. He is a friendly boy who knows “sit”, takes treats gently, enjoys being pet all over, and likes to cool off in the kiddy pool. He has been reactive to other dogs when passing their kennels. No other dog to dog evaluations have been completed. If you are looking for a buddy, Kobe is your guy! If you live in an apartment, check for breed or weight restrictions. He would be happiest in a home with a yard! Kobe CANNOT be returned to the shelter.
