I'm a 30-something, ASCAP-registered musician/singer/songwriter/producer looking for a motivated, enthusiastic drummer for live gigging as soon as we're able to get a 6-7 song set down. We've already got a bassist and lead/rhythm guitars, so we're pretty close to having the 4-5 piece unit that will do the songs justice. Ability to play multiple instruments or being able to sing backing vocals would be a plus. I can send over the current setlist. Influences are wide, but some touchstones include Elvis Costello, Talking Heads, Bowie, Tame Impala, Sonic Youth, Animal Collective, Kate Bush, and many others. I'd love to know your influences too! I'm interested in seeing where this project can go. I have almost 20 original songs (including 10 intended for an upcoming album) in some form of demo recording that we can work on. Looking to play spots like Permanent Records, The Goldfish, Resident, Silvelake Lounge, and anywhere else that will take us. The songs have fairly locked-in structures, but can use your tasteful additions.
