Description
Join a new Healthy-Volunteer study for Women ages 16 to 40.
The purpose of this Phase-3 trial is to assess whether a new study vaccine can help your immune system protect against cytomegalovirus (CMV). Cytomegalovirus, or CMV for short, is the leading cause of birth defects around the world. CMV is a common viral infection that usually goes unnoticed or only causes mild symptoms in most people. But if a woman becomes infected with CMV while she is pregnant, she can pass the infection to her unborn baby. This can cause her child to suffer long-term disability due to birth defects, including hearing loss, or even death in very severe cases. Currently, there is no approved vaccine against CMV.
There is no cure for CMV, but now’s your chance to help develop the first vaccine.
It is voluntary to join this study. You can leave at any time and for any reason with no penalty.
Other requirements (which will be assessed by our team) will also need to be met before you can join the study.
