Female: Pit Bull Terrier mix; 10 years, 2 months Sand Castle is a bona fide working dog who will focus all her attention on you and want nothing more than to please you. She is a very well trained and obedient dog. She is affectionate, not demanding -- and really appreciates a good butt scratching. She was skittish and shy when moving into her foster home, and within 48 hours she became comfortable. She's not living with other pets now, but on her leash walks she seems interested in dogs she sees and wags her tail. She also saw a cat and wasn't very interested in it. She is a healthy, athletic girl who has plenty of energy to spend on rides and good walks. She's not destructive and doesn't show any interest in getting on couches or beds. She's been left alone and free roaming the house for up to five hours, and she doesn't bark, dig in the fenced-in yard or try to escape. She is house-trained and waits patiently at the door. This smart girl's obedience skills are flawless. When told to go lay down, she will retreat immediately to her favorite spot. She does like to sleep a lot. Come meet Sandy.
