Hi there. I have a large home just off of the Purdy exit on highway 16. I have a machine shop that is temperature and humidity controlled, it remains at 68° and 55% humidity year round. I have a very extensive machine shop and woodworking shop although only manual equipment, nothing CNC. Big heavy cast iron from the 1940s for the most part. Tool room lathe and enormous milling machine available. I rent out tools and shop time or offer makerspace privileges on a subscription basis. There's a great deal of room so many different forms of art could be done here. No overnight available, shops are closed at 7:00 p.m. I'm available for educational opportunities if you want to learn new skills, but you need to do the work, I'm no longer able though I can teach. Lots of supplies and outdoor space as well. Huge kinetic sculptures welcome. We are on the water as well for floating projects. I only do this as much as it interests me, not out of financial necessity. So reach out and start a conversation. Give me an idea of who you are and what your interests are. I'm not 100% White. If this is a problem for you, please look elsewhere. I don't care what you are, who you date, or how you identify. Happy to teach to families, but have a little bit of a potty mouth I can't seem to break the habit of. This is a potentially dangerous environment, most of these tools predate OSHA. There is never more than one child allowed in the shop at a time, you are responsible for your child's safety though. You must be vaccinated against covid, this is not negotiable except for tool rentals. Not going anywhere so long-term projects are welcome.
