***URGENT, FOSTER HOME NEEDED! PLEASE HELP!*** I found this darling on Tuesday and have posted all the places trying to find her owners, though I worry she may have just been abandoned. She has been checked for a microchip and I have filed reports with the Humane Society and Alachua County Animal Services. We have a few more days of waiting to see if an owner claims her before she could be officially adopted, but we need a foster home now. We had hoped to foster her until her owners or a new home could be found, but it turns out she can't be around our cat, we are having to keep them separate in a small apartment and both the dog and cat are extremely agitated. To complicate things further, I'm leaving town on Tuesday, and truly don't know what to do. If someone is able to foster her, I would be willing to drive her within a couple hours of Gainesville. Please help us keep this pup out of the shelters! More about her: She's a small pittie, seems very young although she appears to have had puppies already. Just a bit bigger than a lap dog, really. She is a REAL sweetheart, loves to snuggle up on the couch, in a lap, wherever! We don't know how she is with dogs but she seems *very* excited by them and I suspect she'll get along great with another playful and energetic dog. My understanding is she should be kept separate until she gets another booster shot in a week and a half - I can check in with Animal Services to see if this is absolutely necessary, though. She's great at riding shotgun in the car, causes no fuss. She's been treated for fleas and gotten her first set of shots from Animal Services. They are also able to spay her and give her additional vet care. We borrowed a crate and have been working on crate training her. She's mostly been good about it, but will sometimes cry for about fifteen minutes when she first goes in. She is great about sleeping in it through the night! She is very energetic and a fenced yard would definitely be ideal but we don't have one and have been making it work. Please help this sweet pup!!
