Spaniel mix - rehome

Description

This is Sid. We’re not sure that’s his name, but that’s what we’ve been calling him. He was found around a month ago by someone who couldn’t keep him, so we took him in. He unfortunately with all of our trying just can’t fit into our home, so here we are, trying to give our best boy a shot. We’ve run him by a vet, no microchip, but the vet said he seems healthy in general. Good teeth, solid boy. He’s most likely some type of spaniel mix, after a long talk with many people, he seems to most likely be a cocker spaniel or a cockapoo. He is full grown and maybe 20-25 lbs. The pros: Sid is INCREDIBLY loyal. He’s house trained, very loving and attention hungry. Whoever had him before definitely put a lot of time and attention into this sweet little man. He is great with children over 8 years old, we haven’t had him with any children younger than that, so we can’t say how he is with littler ones. The cons: Sid needs to be an only dog, which is why we’re here. He doesn’t seem to ever have been socialized with other dogs. He absolutely cannot be around other male dogs, specifically, but an only-dog home would absolutely be preferred for him. He just really doesn’t like dogs, he thinks he’s human, and that is how he is. We’ve tried behavioral modification, that hasn’t worked for us. Other than the dog aggression, he’s absolutely fantastic. Asking a very small and possibly negotiable rehoming fee just to make sure he doesn’t land in a bad space.
