HELP US BOTH LIVE!!! We will both Die (euthanasia) at County shelter on Aug. 28th!! We have done not ONE thing wrong. We were placed on the E-list because we are STRUGGLING in our kennels! I'm 4-year-old, neutered, sable/tan German Shepherd/Mix (82 lbs.). Sadly, my owner passed away and I got dumped in this shelter. Nothing but good about me! Good with people, cats, and dogs; crate and potty trained. I know sit, down, stay, and shake. I walk great on-leash, like petting, chase balls, am treat motivated, and take treats gently. Although I am good with other dogs, a SLOW intro would be needed. It is suggested that I meet the entire family and I might be best suited for older children. ZAGREUS (ID #A4762622) Wow!! I am a Handsome, 6-year-old, neutered, black/tan German Shepherd (70 lbs.) I am struggling terribly in this environment! I leash up without issues, and I am a nice mix of "friendly and independent", I lean in for pets, and I am fine with dogs in close proximity. I have not been assessed with other dogs, so I need a SLOW intro to a dog in the home. It is suggested that I meet the entire family and get a little “fine tuning” of leash skills. PLEASE REMEMBER!! Both dogs have been living in a high-stress environment and will need time to de-stress and relax!! They will benefit from a predictable routine as well as exercise and time to play.
