Guitarist Looking for Band/Project

Hey everyone, I’m sure there are lots of guitarists on here and I know we’re all a dime a dozen. However, I wanted throw myself out here just in case. I’m a well-rounded, well-trained guitarist looking for a band or people to jam with or a project to work on with a primary focus of writing original music. The past couple of bands I’ve played in have been exclusively cover bands, which has been fun, but I miss writing music and trying to create something new with others. I feel like I’m pretty good at writing music, and I have dabbled with writing lyrics (even though it’s probably not my strong suit). I’m happy to play live or just work on songs to record. I have great equipment, I have reliable transportation, I can make myself available to practice, and I would like to believe I’m easy to get along with. My musical influences and tastes a pretty varied, and I am very adaptable to most styles of music. I love pretty much all styles of music and I love to experiment with different sounds. As far as styles of music I write, it generally leans rock with some Americana influence thrown in sometimes. However, I am more than happy to branch out. For playing in a band, I’m happy to work on covers while also writing. I know starting out, it can be helpful to have covers in the pocket. I just don’t want to paint myself in a corner by doing only covers. I’m happy to talk and meet up before playing or to just hang out and noodle. Happy to answer any questions!
