NOW HIRING a part-time Weekend Porter to join our team! Please attach your resume when applying! The Huntington Beach Sports Complex is a 45-acre, open-air facility featuring eight softball/baseball fields overlaid with seven soccer fields. We also have three open artificial turf fields and one arena turf field, batting cages, two concession stands, and two playgrounds. With tournaments onsite every weekend, we are seeking a weekend porter who will be responsible for the upkeep of the grounds and parking lots in the evenings. JOB DETAILS ● Salary: DOE ● IMMEDIATE START ● Job Type: Part-time ● Location: Huntington Beach QUALIFICATIONS ● Willingness to perform all required tasks (required). ● Demonstrated knowledge of work safety habits. ● Attention to detail. ● Ability to organize and prioritize work. ● Ability to interact effectively with staff and guests. ● Ability to work individually and with a team. ● Ability to professionally represent the company. ● Ability to work weekends (required) and extended/late hours if necessary. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES ● Ensures that trash throughout the property is emptied on a regular basis. ● Walk the grounds daily, removing litter and debris from lawns, planting beds, restrooms and concession stands. ● Safely operate HBSC owned vehicles and equipment. ● Ability to work evening weekend hours. ● Perform other duties as assigned or requested. JOB REQUIREMENTS ● Be dependable. ● Be flexible and reliable with the ability to communicate effectively. ● Must be available to work weekend evenings/nights. ● Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to drive a golf cart. ● Ability to perform physical labor, bending, and squatting. ● Ability to lift, carry, and push tools, equipment, and supplies weighing 50 pounds or more. ● Ability to work outdoors and in inclement weather. ● Ability to follow proper safety protocol and pay strict attention to safety at all times. ● Basic knowledge of grounds maintenance, landscape installation, tree maintenance, safety inspections, and baseball diamond preparation is preferred, but not required. ● Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate professionally and tactfully with the public. ●Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Regular Schedule: 2-3 days per week, 10-20 hrs/week Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday evenings based on the event schedule at the HB Sports Complex. Extended hours available during the summer months and daytime hours may be available as necessary to support events.
