Castle Contracting is a 100% employee-owned, self-performing site preparation contractor. Castle is a privately held, wholly owned company of McCarthy Holdings, Inc. This Yard Support position will report directly to the Fleet/Yard Manager and meet with the Equipment Logistics Coordinator daily to align on support for the field operations through towing trailers and equipment, as well as delivering supplies to and from the yard and/or vendors to jobsites. This role is also responsible for organization and upkeep of the yard, as well as the tracking of small tools. KEY / SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: • Ongoing organizing, cleaning, and upkeep of yard. • Checking-in, inspecting, greasing, and fueling equipment. • Light maintenance and repair of equipment and small tools. • Cleaning heavy equipment. • Loading / unloading of supplies from trucks and trailers, at times utilizing heavy equipment to accomplish task. • Communicating with key team members to ensure timely and accurate deliveries are consistently achieved. • Reading traffic control plans, setting up and taking down traffic control signs and cones. • Verifying accuracy of material (type & quantity) and equipment with Equipment Logistics Coordinator and/or Project Foreman prior to leaving vendor site or equipment yard for delivery to jobsite. • Ongoing tracking of small tools with barcode system. • Collecting and signing invoices from vendors and turning them into the Office Clerk for processing daily. MEETING EXPECTATIONS: • Daily Coordination Meeting. • Daily Task Hazard Analysis Meeting, prior to start of work. • Yard Safety Meetings (as scheduled). QUALIFICATIONS: • Current and valid driver’s license, with a driving record that meets the insurance requirements. • Excellent communication, organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills required. • Ability to operate heavy equipment for loading and unloading of supplies. • Ability to tow and back a trailer. • Ability to lift 50-lbs.
