Description
Northshore Senior Center is looking for a conscientious and reliable Facility Coordinator to perform general maintenance and repairs for our buildings and sites. Duties and Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): • Performing minor electrical, plumbing and HVAC repairs and maintenance. • Working with vendors and contractors. • Ordering supplies, maintaining inventories and monitoring maintenance-related contracts. • Serving as a point of contact for fire or security systems. • Willingness to be available during extreme weather or emergency conditions, as well as, some evening and weekend work for emergencies or Center events. Requirements: • All employees are subject to WA State Patrol Criminal History Background Check and must complete the Criminal History Self-Disclosure Form • Must have received, or be willing to receive, the COVID-19 vaccination prior to the start date. Proof of vaccination is required. Individuals may request exemption from the vaccine requirement for medical or religious reasons. Physical Demands: The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and be able to hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel as well as reach with hands and arms. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. A successful candidate is someone who has: • 2+ years of maintenance and repair experience (including, but not limited to, basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC and landscaping). • Familiarity with ADA compliance codes. • A high school diploma or GED. • Ability to relate to people of diverse backgrounds and lifestyles (e.g., low income, minorities, frail, and disabled).
