Engage! Cleveland’s inaugural Generation NEXT Awards honors the companies and individuals working diligently to attract, engage and retain young professional talent to Cleveland. Winning companies and individuals are recognized for their efforts in helping transform the region into a premier community for young professionals to live, work, and get involved civically. In order to recognize all of the organizations in the Cleveland community working to attract, engage and retain talent, awards, with the exception of the Lifetime Achievement Award, will be given to four winners per category - large company, mid-size, small, and nonprofit/government/public sector. CATEGORIES INCLUDE: Company of the Year Award– awarded to the company that has created a culture attracting, engaging, and retaining young professional talent because of their internal efforts.Mentor of the Year Award - awarded to a senior leader who goes above and beyond by either serving as a mentor or an executive sponsor to young professionals within their organization.Program of the Year Award - an organization that has created a robust program that is aiding in attracting and engaging top talent in their organization and the Cleveland community. The program could be an internship program, a management trainee program, an internal young professionals group, etc.Young Professional of the Year Award – awarded to a young professional who is advancing the young professional talent agenda within their organization by serving as a spokesperson and ambassador. Lifetime Achievement Award – awarded to an individual who strongly advocates for the young professional generation. The individual has rallied others around the cause and has served in leadership positions in organizations working toward the mission of Cleveland being a top destination for YPs.Engage! Cleveland Employer of the Year Award– must be an EC member company – our employer member company of the year who is doing the most to attract and retain talent. This could be through programs, events, incentives, flex/time, etc.Awards will be presented in six distinct categories on Thursday, September 29, 2022. Two awards will be selected by Engage! Cleveland and include Engage! Cleveland’s Employer Member Company of the Year and a Lifetime Achievement Award.
