The Ohio Coastal Training Program is teaming up with Erie Conservation District to bring our annual Green Bike Tour to the City of Huron! This tour is a FREE event open to anyone interested learning about all the innovative & sustainable projects in Huron. Registration is not required, but it is strongly encouraged. Join us at Fabens Park at 5:30 pm to learn how "Green" Stormwater Management practices are helping to minimize negative stormwater impacts in Lake Erie, while enjoying a beautiful bike ride before sunset! This event is "BYOB"... bring your own BIKE! We will have a select number of adult bike rentals available for $15 courtesy of the Lake Erie Adventure Co. If you wish to rent a bicycle, a separate registration will be required through their website. Select the 'Bike Rental' add-on with your registration for further instructions on securing your rental. If you do not book your bike rental ahead of time, we cannot guarantee that we will have one there for you. The "Green Bike Tour" will include: Fabens Park - infiltration basins | Lakefront Park - permeable pavers | Holiday Harbor Marina - two systems: bioretention & proprietary high-flow bioretention **Children are welcome to join if accompanied by a parent/guardian- not recommended for children under age 10** Please call the District if you have any questions regarding your registration (419) 626-5211.
