This important community gathering is sponsored by Blue Federal Credit Union, all Veterans and caregivers are invited to attend and information will be on hand about the Healing Warriors Program and their dedication to suicide prevention through free integrative, non-narcotic treatments available for Veterans, their spouse/partner and parents during National Suicide Prevention Awareness week. There are 377,000 veterans in the state of Colorado alone, many of whom require services and care. The National suicide rate amongst our Veteran community is 24.8% per 100,000 personnel – and it’s not getting better. “Blue’s history is firmly connected to the military. From their founding on Warren AFB, to their support of military members stationed around the world, so it was really no surprise they immediately came forward to be a part of this event” says Janet Hatfield, Development Manager for Healing Warriors Program.
