Come make a LARPing boffer sword with us! Program Director Mrs. Beasley AKA the Healing Mother AKA Queen Amaterien and her Man at Arts Sam will be demonstrating and facilitating this fun craft made from PVC pipe, foam, and electric tape.We will be providing all the materials so just come and have fun! For children ages 11-17. After we make the swords, we will be playing our ever popular ditch battling games. Each guest can play one of our stock characters and try out their skills and abilities! You will learn a few sword fighting techniques demonstrated by Sam. A social time will follow as we take refreshment. Improv acting is encouraged as we engage in what we call "LARP on." After snack, we will have our roleplaying time, a simple but fun alternative to D&D called Advanced Narrative Roleplaying, invented by our former coach Jacob Turner AKA Nathen. This will be followed by a devotional based on Scripture on the topic of courage. If there is time, we will end with a few minutes of fun games like hide and seek combined with ditch battling. What do you need to bring? You can, of course, wear costumes, although that is optional. Bring good running shoes as there will be a lot of that going on in our yard. Bring a water bottle. Also bring a snack to share. Please be aware that we have a student who is allergic to eggs, dairy, and peanut butter. Upon purchasing a ticket, Mrs. Beasley will send you an email with her address and instructions as well as a list of stock characters your child(ren) can play.
