We hope you will join us for this entertaining community celebration! In 1945, the USS Midway was commissioned with Captain Joseph F. Bolger in command. She was built by Newport News Shipbuilding Co. in Newport News, Virginia, and was the first ship in the US Navy too large to utilize the Panama Canal! Happy 77th Birthday, USS Midway!
